Descibed as ‘alternative-folk merchants’ (Hotpress), Henrietta Game possess uniqueness in both their sound and style making it difficult to classify them definitively. These ‘little gems’ (Tony Fenton, Today FM) recently performed twice at Electric Picnic 2009, who described their sound as ‘evocative lyrical melodies accompanied by haunting vocal and string harmonies’.
The Dirty Blagards are nothing less than an institution in their home town of Tullamore. The three Mooney brothers Joe, Stephen and Richie are steeped in music and song. Their songs are about real people in real situations epitomising real life. They could be described as a Roots Jazzanova Trad band with any other style you could think of in between.
Vocalist, producer, and one quarter of pioneering Irish hip hop outfit ‘ScaryÉire’, RíRá has been recording music for over 20 years. He made his first link into hip hop in 1984 at the age of 10. In 1990 he formed the group ‘ScaryÉire’ with co-members Dada Sloosh
I have been workin on some new songs over the past few weeks tryed 2 of them out at a gig in mckennas last nyt i was in support of a dublin act called van cleef who were class,also the dominican affair played 2 who are a monaghan act and were class 2 check them out….just done the bandwaggon tv thing 2day which was cool the
27 year old Monaghan man Ryan Sheridan, former front man of the band Shiversaint and now currently living in Dublin, recntly made the decision to go solo. After years with the band and with the consent and encouragment of the other members Ryan is taking his music to new levels
