SEA SESSIONS – BUNDORAN – 25 / 26 /27 JUNE 2010 Hypnotic Brass Ensemble have been confirmed for Seasessions 2010 Hypnotic Brass Ensemble is a 9-piece, Chicago-based brass group featuring 8 sons of Phil Cohran on horns. Originally from Chicago, the brothers started as a street ensemble before recording in 2004. They have performed with Mos Def, Aquilla Sadalla, Phil Cohran and at the North Sea Jazz Festival. In late 2007 they recorded with Erykah Badu and Maxwell. They are also confirmed collaborators on a number of tracks off of the new Gorillaz album, Plastic Beach. INDIEPENDENCE – CORK – AUG BANK HOLIDAY WKEND 2010 INDIEPENDENCE 2010 is coming!! New site, new set up and a great line-up coming together. We’ll have an announcement in the coming weeks but what we can tell you is that the festival will take place in a new site on the outskirts of Mitchelstown in North Cork on the August Bank Holiday weekend. The site will include a 3,500 capacity covered main arena with an 800 capacity second arena and a slightly smaller dance arena playing soul, funk & house with a couple of international DJ’s on the cards. The arena will also include a town square featuring smaller tents of new bands, DJ’s, Comedy and workshops. |

VANTASTIVAL – LOUTH – MAY BANK HOLIDAY WKEND 2010 Vantastival is a three-day family-friendly music festival held at Dunany Estate in mid-Louth over the May bank holiday weekend (April 30 – May 2, 2010), aimed primarily at campervan, motorhome and motor scooter enthusiasts but will be a brilliant weekend for all seasoned festival-goers with live music and entertainment on three stages. It will also include a trade show, competitions and workshops focusing on the enhancement, upkeep and exhibition of campers and scooters. There will be two separate campsites, one for residential vehicles and one for scooter owners and other attendees to pitch tents. |
